Come celebrate Earth Day with the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County! There will be music and entertainment for everyone! Enjoy activities for all ages and delicious local food, wine, and beer! Over 75 organizations and vendors will provide information about green products, services, our local environment, and how you can get involved locally to make a difference for the Earth!

Taste of Mendocino

Join more than 30 Mendocino Winegrowers for an annual swirl through the region’s diverse showcase of fine wines, artisanal foods, enchanting destinations and unique experiences. Take a deep dive into epic Pinot Noirs, robust reds, crisp whites and bring-it-on bubbles. Pack home a cache of collectibles at this intimate celebration of the people and products who define the Mendocino difference. A discovery no palate can resist! Great wines and happy times!

Mendocino County has a high enrollment of green certifications for sustainable, organic, biodynamic and Fish Friendly farming.

Women Winemakers Dinner in celebration of International Women’s Day

Expect 20+ women winemakers pouring their wines in a pre-dinner tent reception, and at the wine-paired dinner: a 4-course feast prepared by some of the area’s best female chefs, restaurateurs and food crafters. In addition to the seated dinner portion of the evening, this year’s event will again feature a tent on a closed-to-traffic street in front of K’Syrah’s downtown Solvang venue. Housed inside the tent, nearly two dozen women winemakers who will be on-hand to pour tastes of their wines and talk with event guests during the pre-dinner tasting reception (5:30 PM to 7:30 PM), to include passed appetizers, a cheese table, and live music.

Live Music at Carr Winery with Karlin Ladera Band

Originally from Maui, Karlin links the Island-style flavor with fusion and a variety of songs that feel good. They enhance their reggae-inspired sound with R&B, hip-hop, Top 40s pop, classics, oldies and everything in between. Pair a glass of Carr wine with the innovative sounds of ukulele, rhythm guitar, and some smashing, lyrical, feel-good flows. Free admission, 21 and over. 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Barrel Room.

Live Music at Carr Winery with Shennie & Cata

This is a show you won’t want to miss! Shennie was born and raised in Norway and moved to Santa Barbara at the age of 19 to pursue her lifelong dream of working as a singer in the beautiful state of California. When Shennie is not singing with Cata, she works as a vocal coach for children. For her, singing connects the mind with the heart, and the heart with the soul. Catalina, who goes by “Cata” to fans, is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She moved from her hometown to Santa Barbara to follow her dreams of developing a music career. Together, the duo’s sound is heavily influenced by folk, rock, pop, and blues.

The Mythology of Wine

Arthur George, a mythologist, winemaker, and cultural historian, will explore the mythology of wine in various cultures over the ages. Sip on a glass of wine from Carr Winery while enjoying the opportunity to hear a scholarly approach to the mythology of what’s in your glass! Presented by the Santa Ynez Library.

Wine Taste on the Santa Clara Valley Wine Trail

Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival

It’s officially the season to start wearing white, and it’s definitely the season to be drinking whites! Vertical Tasting: Emerald Ridge Pinot Noir Feature

“Join us St. Patrick’s Weekend for a celebration of our own slice of the ‘Emerald Isle’ with one of our most beloved wines, Dutton Ranch – Emerald Ridge Pinot Noir. This stunning Green Valley of the Russian River Valley property was planted by Steve Dutton and is a club and employee favorite. We will be pouring a 3-year vertical of this lush pinot noir, paired with mini-corned beef Ruebens. Wear something green and come out to play.

Fiddlehead Cellars – Open that Bottle Night

After Hours from 4 – 8pm join us for an extended barrel tasting in our cellar for Open that Bottle Night, a time to connect with friends and family as you learn about what drives the Fiddlehead expression. We\’re not just opening THAT (older) BOTTLE… we\’re also opening THAT (younger) BARREL! Library wine 12 to 4pm in the tasting room, then stick around for EXTENDED HOURS 4 to 7pm to OPEN THAT BARREL and dive into a fun and informative Barrel Tasting in the Cellar. We only do this once in a while!

Mill Creek Vineyards’ Cabernet Weekends in February

When the weather turns cold (as in February), its the perfect time to crack open a bottle of Cabernet and curl up by the fireplace. Join us weekends through the month of February in the Tasting room for a special Bordeaux wine list featuring a library selection and several high-end Cabernet Sauvignons. Hopefully the weather will comply, and it will be warm enough to sit outside by the new fire-pit.

Mill Creek’s Winemaker Series

Join winemaker, Jeremy Kreck for a small group education experience. You will be greeted with a pouring of white and a short meet and greet. Jeremy will present a Reserve Tasting and discuss each wine in relation to flavor profile, fruit and winemaking characteristics. He will lead an interactive seminar on winemaking covering topics such as varietals, tannin, oak, and acid. You will have the opportunity to blend and taste certain attributes in relation to winemaking. Groups limited to approximately 10.

AVV Fall Estate Garden Brunch

Join us for our annual Fall Estate Garden Luncheon on October 12. Enjoy a tour of the winery led by family member Katie Wetzel Murphy along with a gourmet family style luncheon served with our uniquely handcrafted AVV wines. Lunch will be served overlooking the garden on the Wetzel Family Estate patio and will feature a seasonal wine country meal with items straight from the garden.

Flying Goat Cellars Hosts Artist Reception for Teresa Pratt

Come by and meet the artist over a flight of wine and some snacks. Pratt’s paintings will be on exhibit at the tasting room through February 28, 2019. Flying Goat Tasting Room is located at 1520 E.
