Carr Winery 20th Anniversary Party

Come help us celebrate 20 years of Carr wine! We’ll be raising a glass to our past, present, and future (and all the bottles opened and connections made along the way). We’ll be featuring wine tastings of library selections, current releases, and wine futures. Live music with the Jason Campbell Band and local eats from a pizza truck outside the winery. Free admission and open to the 21+ public.

Riverbench Vineyard Tasting Room: Extended Hours

After many club member requests, we’re trying something a little different. Riverbench Vineyard tasting room along the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail will be open for a late afternoon of lawn games, all original live music and wine by the glass or bottle. Bring your blanket, chairs and friends for a relaxing Friday afternoon in our garden. Tasting flights end at 4pm; our normal closing time. Wine served by the glass or bottle from 4 to 6pm.

Wine + Doughnut Pairing

What’s better than doughnuts? Doughnuts paired with wine! We are excited to partner with a local bakery in Los Olivos for this special sweet and savory pairing. God’s Country Provisions was established in 2018 to bring creativity to familiar doughnuts we all love, delivered with wine country hospitality. Pre-order of this doughnut pairing is required, as they will be baked to order and picked up each morning. Ticket holders may come in to our vineyard tasting room anytime on Saturday from 10am – 3pm to redeem their tickets for a delicious wine and food pairing flight.

Veteran’s Day at Riverbench Vineyard

At Riverbench, past and present military service men and women receive complimentary wine tastings year round. For Veterans Day weekend, we’re toasting to those who served. Visit either Riverbench tasting room anytime on Saturday, Sunday or Monday for a special library sparkling wine pour added to any tasting.

Halloween Pumpkin Decorating

We’re excited to be hosting a day of pumpkin decorating at our vineyard tasting room. Bring only your creativity – we’ve grown hundreds of pumpkins for you to choose from! One pumpkin and decorating supplies included with each ticket. Choose from seating options beginning at 11am or 2pm. Wine by the bottle or glass available throughout the day in the garden. Tastings available inside the tasting room. Tips for a great day: Secure your tickets early – space is limited. Rain or shine the event will go on – dress accordingly for this outdoor event.

Wine & Food Affair – 21st Annual, Sonoma County

Wine & Food Affair ~ Tasting Along the Wine Road is the premier event for Wine Road – Northern Sonoma County! Join us for a weekend of wine and food pairing in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys. Come celebrate the harvest with us. Enjoy our world-class wines, paired with locally grown produce, showcasing our farmers and producers. All of the wineries participating will have a favorite winery recipe available online, which they will prepare both days for you to sample, along with the perfect wine. Ticket holders will receive their tasting glass and wristband upon check-in.

Live Music, Food Truck + Wine in the Vineyard

Sundays in October are always a great time to visit Riverbench Vineyard! Special outdoor wine menu includes wine by the bottle or glass. Bring a blanket and find a spot for a picnic on the lawn. A local musician (to be announced soon) will be filling the garden with all original music from 12pm to 3pm. Big Truck Foods will be serving their delicious grilled sandwiches and burgers made with deli-fresh meats and cheeses, served on locally baked breads with their own unique sauces.

Hallowine Run

Originally named “The Healdsburg Wine Country Half and 10k”, is a 13.1and 6.2 Mile course through Dry Creek Valley California ending with a dynamite Wine and Music Festival at Warm Springs visitors center at beautiful Lake Sonoma. Featuring some great food and music all the while showcasing some over 20 local wineries, this event is not one to miss!

Schugtoberfest

The Schug family’s winemaking roots begin along the Rhein River in Germany, at Domäne Assmannshausen, where Walter Schug spent his childhood and his father Ewald was Winemaster, beginning in 1923. In the early 1900s, as the popularity of Munich’s Oktoberfest grew, the small towns scattered across Germany- including the winemaking regions- began throwing their own versions of the harvest festival. Through this tradition, we continue to celebrate the fall bounty with our annual Schugtoberfest Harvest Party! Admission includes drink tickets, bites, live polka with dancing, and stunning views of Carneros from the Schug Estate.

Fall Wine Passport in Santa Clara Valley

Enjoy a month long tasting adventure at 34 wineries in the Santa Clara Valley. Passport includes tastings at each winery, exclusive discounts at wineries and local restaurants and businesses and entry into a drawing! Live music, small bites and delicious wines.

Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival is will be held on September 27-28, 2019. The festivities will include parade, entertainment, performances, music, diaper derby, scarecrow decorating contest, homegrown growing contest, pie and bread contest, arts and crafts, food and more. Visit the agricultural pavilion and browse various displays, farm animals, a grape stomp and more. Free admission. Hours: Fri 4pm-9pm; Sat 10am-5pm

Julian Grape Stomp Festa

Please join us as we celebrate our 23rd anniversary of the Julian Grape Stomp Festa! We are excited to be continuing the old-world tradition of kicking off your shoes, rolling up your pant legs and letting tons of blessed grapes squish beneath your feet! A new exciting addition this year; the proceeds go to The Inner North Star PTSD Retreat Center, here in Julian.

South Coast Winery Grape Stomp

It’s that time of the year again! Time to get your stompin’ on! Grab your friends and join us on Sunday, September 15th from 5pm-9pm for South Coast Winery’s annual Grape Stomp. Your ticket includes: A Glass of Red or White Wine; A Sparkling Wine Toast for our Harvest Blessing; Dinner Buffet; Live Music by Endeavor; and of course, Grape Stomping!

Ponte Winery Grape Stomp

Join us this year at our Annual Grape Stomp as we ring in autumn with the ultimate harvest season festival! Everything is included for event guests; Ponte wine, a spectacular catered dinner, live music, dancing and the Grape Stomp competition (with prizes, to boot)! Yes, this means stomping grapes from our vineyard in a barrel with bare feet while your partner fills up a wine bottle with the resulting juice.

Harvest Celebration STOMP

Let’s celebrate Harvest Season at the Castello! Come and ‘sink your toes in some grapes’ on the Crush Pad and sip some vino under the Harvest sky. Join in on the Grape Stomp Competition or cheer for your team as they compete to produce the most juice! See the harvest and winemaking demonstrations provided by our Winemaking Team. Join us for the 122nd annual Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival – a weekend of food, wine, art and a celebration of harvest. Includes both adult and youth grape stomps! The number of teams will be limited.

Ficklin Vineyards Harvest Stomp

Celebrate Ficklin Vineyards 70th harvest with a hearty great stomp and meal. Savor Tri-tip BBQ al fresco, Stomp grapes, Taste Ports, Sip on Port punch and Sangrias, Indulge in desserts, play corn hole, sample fermentations in process on their way to becoming award-winning Ports!

Guests pick and stomp grapes while tasting Schweiger wine during Harvest, the most exciting time of the year! After your samples are harvested, head back to the crush pad where the stomping of grapes begins (along with tasting Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.) A sit down to lunch on the terrace features red wines, including Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux blend, Dedication. The afternoon concludes with Port XIII and chocolate.

Lake Tahoe Food & Wine Festival

Nestled in the heart of the Sierra, the 34th annual Autumn Food & Wine Festival presented by the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association is sure to inspire your palate and bring you an elevated culinary experience. The annual festival brings together renowned winemakers and some of the region’s finest chefs for an intimate 3-day weekend full of wine tastings, culinary seminars, vendors and mountaintop dining.

Eat Drink Play

Join us for our 3rd Annual Eat Drink Play Los Gatos, a community event featuring Fine Wine, Craft Brews, Local Food, Live Music & Great Shopping all in our Charming Downtown. The event takes place on a closed portion of N. Santa Cruz Avenue (from Main Street to Bachman). You may sip, stroll, munch & dance your way down the Avenue!

EAT DRINK PLAY LOS GATOS is a street festival open to all. Admission to the event is free.  Stroll a closed N. Santa Cruz Avenue and visit our Los Gatos restaurant food booths, as well as local winery and craft brewery booths.  Browse our member booths and other artisans.

Live Music at Carr Winery with the Conner Cherland Trio

Get ready for the weekend with live music by the Conner Cherland Trio from 7-9pm! Blending a contemporary style with a variety of musical genres — including indie-folk, Americana, soul, and pop —Conner Cherland’s voice compares to present-day singers like Hozier, Ed Sheeran, and Shakey Graves. Free admission, 21 and over.

Live Music at Carr Winery with the David Segall Band

Join us Friday night in the Barrel Room for the beachy, folksy sounds of Santa Barbara native, David Segall. Pair it with empanadas and wines by the glass, and you’re all set for an ideal kickoff to the weekend. David Segall is a singer and songwriter from Santa Barbara whose eclectic mixture of rock, soul, folk and reggae is greatly influenced by all things oceanic. He is an avid sailor, surfer and lover of the sea. Inspired by musicians like Jack Johnson, Lukas Nelson, and the Beach Boys, Segall’s lively melodies and insightful lyrics are true reflections of his Southern California background. Free admission, 21 and over.

Music at the Vineyards

It’s a private little concert on the patio at Cooper-Garrod! Listen to some tunes while you kick back with fine wine from the beautiful estate vineyards. Bring friends, bring a picnic, or find charcuterie and cheeses in the Tasting Room refrigerator to pair with your wine selection.

Library Wine Weekend @ Hungry Hawk Vineyards

This September 6th-8th, the owners of Hungry Hawk Vineyards will be opening up their cellar doors to showcase a special selection for our Library Wine Weekend! Experience how each vintage has its own signature that lends to the creation of wine that provokes thought.

Cabernet Sundays at Barterra

Come experience our award winning Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley. Our 2009 and 2010 vintages will be poured for $25/glass and bottles will be discounted 10% on our Special Cab Sundays for the whole month of September in our Wine Tasting Room or beautiful courtyard.

Magical Mystery Monterey Wine Tours (Monterey Wine Country)

MAGICAL…special experiences in vineyards and wineries that are generally not open to the public. MYSTERY…the vineyards and wineries we’re visiting are a surprise until we arrive! And we can assure you, this experience is not otherwise available to the public. MONTEREY WINES…these exclusive tours are a wonderful way to take a deep dive into the wines and characters of Monterey Wine Country. The Monterey County Vintners & Growers Association will provide you with a memorable and exclusive experience including transportation, education, food, wine, and fun! (21 and over, no dogs or pets allowed)

The Organic Wine Trail showcases the certified organic vineyards and practices of the Santa Cruz Mountains and extends from Cupertino (Ridge Vineyards) and Saratoga (Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards), through Boulder Creek (Big Basin Vineyards) and Summit Road between Los Gatos and Soquel (Silver Mountain Vineyards) to Corralitos (Storrs Winery & Vineyards). The route can be split to make a nice day or weekend excursion, with excellent restaurants, picnicking, and fabulous mountain and coastal views along the way. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore the wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains, from Cupertino to Corralitos, while learning about the extra steps vineyards and wineries take to adhere to organic standards. All five wineries are open for California Wine Month with tastings on the weekends, and are open throughout the year as well. Some will offer tours. Harvest Hands 2019

Have you ever wondered what harvest is really like? Ever tasted fresh Pinot Noir juice, or smelled the magic of Chardonnay fermenting? Harvest Hands 2019 is YOUR chance to discover what harvest is all about… Join Chad Melville on Saturday, September 14 for foot stomping, punch downs, pressing and more. After 23 harvests, Chad is excited to share this hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience with those who are eager to learn about winegrowing and Melville’s minimalistic approach in the cellar. Fuel up first with coffee/pastries at 9am before the work begins at 9:15am! The program concludes with a tasting of latest releases.

Flying Goat Cellars 20th Harvest Celebration

Harvest is fast approaching and the excitement is palpable. We are eager to share Flying Goat’s 20th harvest with our wine-loving community. To commemorate the anniversary, we invite you to join our annual Harvest Lunch and Barrel Tasting at the WINERY. Members and prospective members will have a sneak peek into our harvest, sample future wines and new releases, as well as enjoy a delicious lunch. It will be an intimate affair with our winemaker Norm Yost and partner/wife Kate Griffith. Enjoy the seductive aromas of fermenting Pinot Noir all around you at the winery. You will also have a chance to blend your own cuvée. The wines will be paired with a delicious luncheon, offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Walk with the Winemaker

Ever wonder what distinguishes an organic, sustainable, estate vineyard and winery from all the others? This is your chance to find out! The Cooper-Garrod winemaker is your guide for an hour’s easy walk including our Chardonnay vineyard, the crush pad, and barrel room. All are welcome, novice and oenophile alike, as are your questions. Your ultimate destination? The Tasting Room, of course, to see what comes of it all!

Sample the Sierra

Sample the Sierra, Lake Tahoe’s largest farm-to-fork festival, celebrates the talent of the Sierra Nevada region via food, wine, beer, spirits, produce and art!

This event brings together local restaurants with neighboring growers/producers to turn out scrumptious samples craftily paired with the appropriate wine or brew all from the Sierra Nevada region. The festival marketplace features locally crafted goods and the annual Sierra Chef Challenge entertains food lovers with an iron-chef style challenge featuring the best Chefs in the Sierra Nevada.

Elevated Tastings

Begin with a glass of Reserve Sparkling in our Tasting Room, followed by a tour of the vineyard and ending with your choice of a seated tasting in our wine caverns or lakeside. Please note, depending upon the day, one or both of the locations may not be available. Private/Limited to 10 adults (must be 21 or older). Groups less than 10 may be paired with other reservations. Elevated Tastings include canapes (small bites). Reservations Required at least 24 hours in advance. Average Duration: 90 minutes

#MAKETIME FOR WINE & MUSIC 2019 WITH MATT NATHANSON

Join us as he takes the audience through a journey of his songbook while shining a light on deep cuts, hits and fan favorites. Taking to the stage with his guitar, a spinning wheel and his secret weapon, Aaron Tap, Nathanson strips back the show in order to help let the songs breathe a little easier, fall on our ears a little softer and envelope our hearts more fully.

Thomas Allen Vineyards & Winery Presents…Sunset Saturday- Music on the back patio!

Sunset Saturday with Acoustic Measures! Join us for an evening of fabulous music and wine! $5 per person, with Wine Club members receiving 2 complimentary entries. Patio seating is limited so feel free to bring your own chair or blanket! Picnics welcome, but please no outside alcohol. Wine available for purchase. A little about the band: Specializing in classic rock and pop from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s Acoustic Measures perform songs that will make you smile and tap your feet as you remember where you were when you first heard these songs . We enjoy performing songs from great harmonies bands such as The Eagles, Beatles, America and Crosby Stills to name a few. Cheers!

Harvest Experience – Tour, Breakfast & Wine

The tour will begin with a cup of coffee in our tasting room, followed by an up close experience with our state-of-the-art winery while in full swing. You will watch the grape trucks roll over the scales and head up to the elevated crush pad to fill the hopper, and from there you will follow the grapes down to the sorting belt, to the presses or de-stemmer and into the cellar to see our winemaking team in action. The tour will end with a glass of wine on our patio paired with a breakfast burrito. 7:30am -10:30am, tour begins promptly at 8:00am. Limited to 18 guests. Attendees must be 21+. Tickets required. Vineyard Hike at Alexander Valley Vineyards

Join us for a grape to glass tour as we hike the home of Alexander Valley Vineyards. We’ll pass by our working winery, the 1868 Alexander Valley school and the Alexander homestead. After the hike, taste wine from the barrel in our underground wine cave. Relax and take in the views on our winery deck with a wine country picnic. This is the ultimate way to experience the history, tradition, and excellence of Alexander Valley Vineyards. Box lunch included. Reservations required 48 hours in advance. Easy walking tour, but there are hills and dirt trails. Not offered on Sunday.

Barbera Release Event

September is California Wine Month! To celebrate, we are having a release party for one of our signature varietals, Barbera! We will be pouring our 2017 Barbera, 2017 Estate Barbera, and a few other of your favorite Oak Farm Vineyards wines. Food will be available to purchase and live music will be going on from 12pm-4pm. This event is free to attend and open to the public. We are a 21 and over facility, so all guests attending must be 21 or over. This includes infants, small children, and all those under 21 years of age.
